• Must have a background in wood frame construction, basic practical framing engineering or the drafting of residential framing documents.
• Must have built a wood frame house at least once and more practical experience preferable.
• Must have demonstrated solid drawing and framing skills and be able to exercise sound judgment in the creation of framing plans.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar based software desirable but not required, good hand drafters or trade framers welcome.
• Must be self-motivated to help set personal daily goals to support the design team and production shops. 
• Must understand customer requirements, estimating procedure and reasonable code interpretation as it relates to the design department.
• Must be able to work closely and positively with designers and production to balance the daily work load.
• Must be a humble yet confident.
• Must thrive on hard driving, fast-paced environment and embrace change.
• Must be a mature individual able to grow with the company.
• Must be able to relocate to the Middlebury, Vermont area.

HSBcad Operator / Framer
Location: Middlebury, VT

This position will work inside our design and drafting department to create architectural plan sets, construction documents and shop fabrication drawings.

Candidates:

• Must have a background in wood frame construction, panelization and HSBcad software.
• Must have built a wood frame house at least once and more practical experience preferable.
• Must understand how to use and program HSBcad and work with vendors to set up reliable interface with CNC machinery.
• Must have demonstrated solid drawing and framing skills and be able to exercise sound judgment in the creation of framing plans.
• Must be self-motivated to help set personal daily goals to support the design team and production shops.
• Must understand customer requirements, estimating procedure and reasonable code interpretation as it relates to the design department.
• Must be able to work closely and positively with designers and production to balance the daily work load.
• Must be a humble yet confident.
• Must thrive on hard driving, fast-paced environment and embrace change.
• Must be a mature individual able to grow with the company.
