Connor Homes

On a regular basis we get compliments on the house from friends, acquaintances and even strangers. When people ask where I live, I describe the location, and they usually say, "Oh I love that house". Someone was running by recently and yelled out, "Best new construction in the area". Our favorite is when people say "Your house is so pretty. It looks like it has always been here." The ultimate compliment and we hear it several times a month.

We're always asked who built it and I explain the Connor Homes/Chris Nichols connection. In fact, I just met a neighbor who liked our house so much he spoke with Chris, visited your facility, studies your catalog each night and can't wait to build his new home!

The most important thing is that we just love this house. It's cozy for the two of us and roomy enough when our kids or friends visit. It's just beautiful. Everyday I pinch myself. It's really mine! Thanks again.

Working with Connor Homes was an excellent experience from start to finish. Everyone on the staff was a pleasure to talk to, and always very helpful. The design process was easy and we could not be more pleased with our finished product. Connor Homes provides an exceptional product at a reasonable price. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, we love love love this house! We have people telling us it's one of the prettiest houses ever built in New London. That always sounds a bit much to me, but they seem to be totally sincere. We actually heard from our neighbors two houses down, who have a gorgeous authentic Victorian. They came by to thank us for building the house that we did, and "making a contribution to the neighborhood". Not bad for a girl from Jersey!

The best thing is that I have slept in this house for 10 days and I'm not allergic to anything, it is thrilling. At the end of the day that is all that really matters. I have you all to thank for that, all your concern and compassion and research. And I have to tell you that our builder, Brian Carey, is extremely proud of this house as well and wants to build more "Connors". (It didn't hurt that a bank appraiser who inspected our house right after it was finished said it was beautifully built.)

As a custom carpenter's sister and an interior designer, I am hard to please when it comes to quality. Our process with Connor Homes was easy and delightful. It was our builder's first time working with them and they are now doing several projects together. They were very responsive to the builder and me (I was my own general contractor). Once I told them we were breaking ground they set up the delivery date. It took two weeks for our builder and two of his men to put the house up. My builder and I were equally impressed with the quality of construction.

I have actually considered building Connor Homes as a developer should I choose that route. My family builds upscale homes in upstate, New York and I believe these to be of equal quality. My builder recommends them to all his new clients because it makes his job easier and he doesn't have to part with high quality. And they are energy star rated if built to spec!

The finish materials are equally as beautiful. As a designer - I know I couldn't order cabinets and built-ins for the cost of what Connor provides. It truly is a great product, great company, great people. I recommend visiting them in person to see how the work is done, meet the craftsmen and judge for yourself the integrity of the group.

Let me start by saying thank you for helping us build the house of our dreams. As I sit here in my new office thinking back over the last 12 months, and what a whirlwind it has been for first time homebuilders to achieve such a rewarding end, I am glad that we chose your company for our new home. With such great technical support our builder said he would build another Connor home in a heartbeat.

We moved in the weekend before Christmas and even had time to trim the tree for Christmas morning. With still some small jobs to do, I think our house may be the most envied in the neighborhood.

I hope to send some photos in the near future just to prove that one of your houses can look just as great in the state of Ohio as it does in charming Vermont. We have received so many compliments from family and friends as to the aesthetics of the house, and also to the design and quality of building materials used in construction. Our naysayer friends that warned of purchasing a home first, from out of state and second, with prebuilt construction were quite impressed.

A dream to move to the family farm after our wedding in 1991 prompted us to request a Connor Homes catalog. It took us fifteen years to make that move from Vermont to upstate New York and we held onto that catalog of our dreams.

Now we are in the final stretch of our homes building process. Each step of the way, we have met and worked with the most professional, upbeat and thorough team from Connor Homes. Their high quality workmanship, attention to detail and people skills have amazed us throughout this experience. Even when problems arose, the high road was always taken.

We have had countless inquires about our beautiful home and we are so proud to share it's a Connor Home. There's not one criticism we have of this Vermont based company. They are what big business isn't. It's all about quality, craftsmanship and customer relations. We couldn't ask for more.

Late in 2005 on a trip to Colorado, I saw an article in an airplane magazine featuring Connor Homes. That article caught my attention. We were in the market searching for a builder with a set of plans we had bought sometime ago. We have owned many homes in our life time so we were well versed in the real estate arena. Sadly to this point we could not find someone to build this home for the current set price. We looked the market over starting from modular to stick built while our plans lay dormant on the desks of builders in Virginia.

Upon returning from our trip, I called the Connor Homes office and asked for a copy of their brochure so I could look into their method of getting a new house built. I found a plan in their selection that mirrored our current worn out set and with a few modifications, we could have the home we wanted so much. After a lot of deliberation and nervousness, we worked together with Connor Homes to select what we wanted. It was scary because to us we were buying a large package of lumber put together in sections with a set of directions. We did it anyway. We believed their article along with the video and written materials supplied trusting their program in hopes it was for real. Today in this world often this is not the case. Yet this seemed the most plausible and economical choice we had on the horizon.

Shortly we will be moving into our Connor Homes package. I look at it, and I want to cry because of how wonderful our new home is. We found the best framer ever who took the large package of lumber and turned it into a first rate home, one of the best built in this area in years. The two by six kiln-dried outside walls enclose our dream of great home.

Connor Homes has in our opinion two products: quality materials and exceptional customer service. With each call to Connor Homes you are treated as if you were their only customer. Many times Mike Connor answered the phone himself. This is rare in today's market place. Each member of their team is knowledgeable and well trained in their area of expertise. We were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect through out the building process. They always took the time to answer any question or solve any problems of which there were few.

We made the right choice to choose Connor Homes. The Connor Homes business is a rare find in the trick crammed home building market place. The Connor Homes' support with product satisfaction is our view cannot be surpassed. We have a lasting valuable product. Our heartfelt thanks are sent to the Connor Homes family for their sterling service and product satisfaction. My husband and I stand behind Connor Homes.

I have spent the last week cleaning the house. Having touched every surface with a dust rag, I earned new appreciation for the detail and beauty of the house. I just can't thank you enough. The place is absolutely beautiful. I would like to thank you for an enjoyable experience from Day One. It is a pretty heady experience to walk into a company and be greeted by the President. The building and detailing are phenomenal.

Over the last two years, my husband and I wouldn't have survived this building experience if it hadn't been for all of you at Connor Homes. It's hard enough just being married, let alone building a house together! Yet we have never - and I mean never - had a more enjoyable and satisfying experience with any business anywhere, and that says something, because these days we're both pretty darn cynical about a lot of things in this world. But you have reaffirmed our faith that 'business as usual' literally doesn't have to mean that. From the superior quality of your materials and workmanship, to the constant support of the staff during every phase of our project, we were never once let down or abandoned. Even when we felt stupid and embarrassed about calling so much for help no one made us feel that way. In fact, it was very much the contrary. You were always there for us, with patience and support and much needed humor! You just can't put a price on that. We will be eternally grateful to all of you for being a part of our dream and for easing us through the rough spots of what can be a ridiculously stressful time.

So thanks Mike, and all the other nutty people at Connor who took such good care of us. As the saying goes - what goes around comes around. You are what's right with the world, and we're happy to be a part of it. Like evangelists, we are spreading the word. A sincere thanks!

We absolutely loved working with Mike and Connor Homes. We got to design the house we wanted, while Mike paid attention to the architectural integrity. In the end we got more house for our money than we ever dreamed possible; an old farm house without the 'old', complete with wrap around porches and an old fashioned shake roof. We still pinch ourselves when we drive up our driveway!
