This home is most closely associated with the Federal style. The facade is formal with fluted side pilasters. The asymmetrical front was created to "loosen up" the exterior and give it a friendlier, country feel. The doorway features a delicate tracery in the fan lite above the doorway. The front entrance is an original design, drawn from a composite of several historic, Federal style doorways. The kitchen wing looks as if it was added later as was typical in the evolution of a house over time.
